The cartoon series South Park has always been controversial and more geared toward older audiences. It looks like Russian prosecutors are working diligently to get South Park off the air in their country. South Park is just one of the cartoons they are attempting to stop from infecting the minds of the Russian people. The offending episode? “Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics” insults people who are religious and that it incites hatred.
This reminds of other such TV show bans. Some years ago in Poland Teletubbies was banned, in Venezuela the Simpsons were also banned and replaced with Bayatch obviously much better programming. Let us not forget about the good old USandA which has banned some Bugs Bunny cartoons. So much for freedom of speech.
