South Park Season 12 Episode 13 "Elementary School Musical”

South Park Season 12 Episode 13 "Elementary School Musical” aired on November 12, 2008. The episode parodies High School Musical films.
The boys are at lunch and when Cartman taunts Kenny about Kenny's lunch, Butters declares that he's going to watch the movie High School Musical 3 again. The boys ask Butters what High School Musical 3 is and recognize they're uninformed about the newest fad. After watching the movie, the boys detest it, and vow never to become a part of this fad. The next day at school the boys find everyone singing again in class. However, Bridon's theater-crazed, metrosexual father won’t allow him to play a "sissy" sport. Stan convinces Bridon to stand up for himself, but Bridon's father slaps his mother after she suggests Bridon should be allowed to play basketball the slap was a little on the how do you say gay side.
Stan reports his father to Child Protective Services, but Bridon's father smacks the CPS agents until they run off. Sick of it, Bridon slugs his father in the nose, making him cry, and his mother also commences to beat his father. The next day, Bridon plays at a basketball game and kicks but; his father meanwhile loves the musical aspects and choreographed cheering.

In the meantime, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are hanging out with an loser boy named Scott Malkinson, who is laughed at by fellow students for his lisp and diabetes. Despite having swore against it, Stan then chooses to join the fad and studies the High School Musical series. The boys try to convince him differently, reminding him of their plight, but he retorts by interpreting that things are shifting and that Butters is now more popular than they are.:)

IGN and 411mania.com both afforded the episode comparatively positive reviews, rating it 7.5 and 7.4 out of 10. More could have been done with the idea and it felt like they were trying to wrap up the season.
